Apple introduced eSIM with iPhone XS in 2018. All subsequent models include eSIM support. iPhone 14+ (US models) are eSIM-only — no physical SIM tray.

Method 1: Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears alongside your IMEI, your device has an eSIM chip.
iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for "EID" field.
Android: Settings → About Phone → SIM Status → look for EID or eSIM option in SIM management.
